Garlic Bread

Ok, I know it’s kind of a lame post, but they have a whole section in the freezer of this stuff, and these radiation-suit clad ready to go ones.  First, making it yourself brings the number of ingredients down to single digits. Second, it’s gonna taste way better because the inputs wont be crap.  Remember, GIGO. You can play around with the olive oil depending on how flavourful you want the bread.

  • Small bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Garlic Press
  • Knife

  • 1 baguette
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Preheat the oven to 400ºF.  Crush the garlic into a bowl, add the butter.   Either microwave until quite soft or melted, or pop the bowl in the oven until the same result is achieved.  Slice the baguette lengthwise (like a sub).  Add the oil to the butter, mix and spoon or brush over the bread.  Bake on the sheets about 10 minutes.  Pay attention not to burn it.
